Kev Martin covers the mid and deep-South, including majors, with a focus on the footwear business. He grew up in the Florida Keys of South Florida where his love and knowledge of the sea, wind, waves and the creatures therein gave him a deep respect for the natural world, and this has remained a very core belief system throughout his career path. Kev spent 8 years in outdoor retail, beginning at legendary Florida outdoor retailer, Bill Jackson’s of Pinellas Park, FL teaching windsurfing, whitewater, surf and sea kayaking, and even snow skiing! In the wholesale representative sales trade he joined Pure Fun Sports in 1991.
In 1996 he established ASM and has built respected and lasting relationships in much of the outdoors, sporting goods and footwear industries ever since. Currently representing Patagonia Footwear, Loaded Skateboards, SOLE Footbeds & Footwear, Kev resides with his family and dogs and assorted farm animals on his farm on the Cartoogechaye Creek in Western North Carolina near Franklin. He enjoys every free moment ‘not working’ doing all kinds of adrenaline-rushing activities with his family all over the world, and making live music with his friends around the globe!
Our specialties and strengths are based in service, sales, support/training and growth of the casual/leisure/outdoor footwear market; the technical/outdoor/alpine/running footwear market; and the pedorthic/medical retail/military provisional/university footwear markets. Between our 2 primary reps, ASM possess almost 50yrs of combined outdoor retail and wholesale representative experience from which to draw upon, and we apply this knowledge daily in our mission to grow our brands, satisfy and exceed the needs of our dealer networks, and lead examined, meaningful and compassionate lives for the greater good of our families, friends and business associates.
